Not sure if it’s worth your time or effort to partner with us to sell on eBay for Charity?
The ASPCA is very active on eBay for Charity.
You can view the items for sale on eBay to benefit their organization at https://www.charity.ebay.com/charity/The-American-Society-for-the-Prevention-of-Cruelty-to-Animals/78
At the time of this analysis, they had 19,000 items listed for sale to benefit their organization.
The average inventory turnover on eBay is around 5%
This means that the ASPCA can reasonably expect to sell around 950 items per month to benefit their organization.
Assuming that the average selling price on eBay is $35 (it can be more or less depending on the actual items for sale), and that the minimum donation is 10%, this would equate to a minimum of $3,325 per month being donated to the ASPCA.
Now, let’s assume the ASPCA had partnered with RI Consignment for all of their products listed.
Instead of earmarking 10% of the proceeds to benefit the ASPCA, they would have earned 40% of the proceeds by listing with us.
Assuming the average selling price were still $35, this would equate to $13,300 PER MONTH to be donated to the ASPCA from our partnership.
Can we really get donors to donate items?
The answer is YES – everyone has clutter and stuff they no longer want, need or use. It can be just about anything from household items, clothes, handbags, video games – anything that can fit in a 12″ x 12″ x 12″ box is acceptable and can be sold on eBay.
