eBay for Charity

In order for RI Consignment to sell on your behalf, the first thing you need to do is confirm that your non profit is listed with eBay for Charity. It’s easy and it’s FREE to any 501(c)3 non profit in good standing with the IRS.

To check to see if your charity is already registered with eBay for Charity, visit their website.

If your organization is not listed in eBay’s directory of registered charities, you must register your nonprofit organization with eBay for Charity through the Pay Pal Giving Fund. Before registering, take a moment to gather the following information:

  • A working email address
  • Your organization’s logo in JPEG (.jpg) or GIF (.gif) format
  • A mission statement
  • Your 501(c)(3) letter or other proof of tax-deductibility
  • A voided organization bank check to establish electronic funds transfer of donations from Community Selling

501(c)(3) public charities, religious organizations, and government agencies can provide documentation to PayPal to confirm their PayPal business account belongs to a charity.

PayPal Giving Fund sends you a confirmation email when the verification process is complete. Verification typically takes 1 to 3 business days. The verification process includes confirmation that your organization is in good standing with the IRS, and meets our community standards of not promoting violence, hate, or illegal activities.

Once your organization is registered with the Pay Pal Giving Fund, it will be listed with eBay for Charity.
